Jetpeller at the AERO Friedrichshafen
JETPEL, a spin-off from the Institute of Jet Propulsion and Turbomachinery, has presented a flight-ready prototype of the Jetpeller at AERO Friedrichshafen 2023.
At the leading show for general aviation, AERO Friedrichshafen, the Jetpeller was presented to the public for the first time. The Jetpeller is a new type of ultra-silent propulsor which, depending on the configuration, is suitable for the ultralight class through to general aviation.
The Institute of Jet Propulsion and Turbomachinery supports the design and testing of the propulsion system as a research partner of JETPEL GmbH. The prototype on display has already proven its performance in an extensive measurement campaign on the test stand. Flight testing is planned for early 2024.
Further information and data sheets on the Jetpeller can be found here.
